Amesbury Public Library invites teens to join Cassandra for a fun drop-in activity each week. Come by to create a craft or play board games or just to chat if you don't want to do a project. This is an hour for teens! No registration is required so come by after school on Mondays this winter to relax and have some fun!
From February 1 through March 15, Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together with organizations in your community to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. This years' goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of pajamas. By supporting us with a PJ Drive, you will directly supply new pajamas to the children who need them most so they can stay warm for a good night’s sleep. For Five Days in February, Amesbury's beautiful and historic Downtown, Market Square and Upper Millyard will be the center of a winter celebration! Enjoy crafting, cocoa, kid's cookie decorating, a winter obstacle course, a Valentine Makers Market, a dance party, live music, a winter market and a hike to Po Hill to celebrate Winter! Don't let the colder weather keep you cooped up inside, join us for some winter fun for everyone!
Come to Flatbread Pizza - Georgetown for great wood-fired, home-made flatbread pizza and help the Friends of the Amesbury Public Library raise funds for their programs! A portion of all pizza sales will be donated to the Friends. Dine in or take-out, join us for our Friends' Flatbread Fundraiser and 50/50 raffle!
Join us to close out our 2023 season with some holiday themed karaoke, winter crafts and games! Bring a batch of cookies to share/swap. We will provide the hot cocoa and fun for the whole family! All ages. This event is free but we welcome donations!
Enjoy the tradition of the Amesbury Massachusetts Holiday parade with your family! This year’s theme for the Amesbury Holiday Parade is COMMUNITY. The parade will begin at 3:30pm from the intersection of Sparhawk and Greenleaf Street, and finish up with the Amesbury Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting. All parade participants will be lined up on Greenleaf Street.
Visit Lowell’s Boat Shop during their Annual Holiday Open House is a two day family event during the first weekend in December. Festivities include old time music by violinist Gus La Casse and banjo player Mathias Kamin III; a children’s workshop with arts and crafts projects; visits from Santa (12 to 1 p.m. each day); a Silent Auction featuring boats, a stay at Mohonk Mountain House, sails on pinky schooner Ardelle, jewelry, and numerous gift certificates and items donated by generous area restaurants and shops.
