Come together at Endicott College for the North Shore Walk to Defeat ALS on Sunday, October 17th! This year's walk will feature something new to enjoy: a Halloween theme! Dust off your witch hats and pumpkin pails, we'll have everything from trick or treating and costume contests to festive games and activities! There will be something for everyone in the family.
Join the Friends of the Lynn Woods on this Trails & Sails walk through to Dungeon Rock to Stone Tower. Lynn Woods Reservation is the second largest municipal park in the greater Boston area. Visitors will have the opportunity to see these sites while walking in a beautiful urban forest, great for first time visitors and others who want to enjoy this historic park. Walk is on wide paths with plenty of room for enjoyment and does not require any previous hiking experience, good for all ages including children.
Learn about the moon’s cycle and its importance to people over the centuries. This is a rare glimpse of the park at night. There will be a short walk that is fully accessible.
The Notch Traveling Biergarten is stopping by Castle Hill. Enjoy a tasty session beer while taking in the magnificent views from the Grand Allee. Bring a picnic lunch or grab a bite from onsite vendor Empanada Dada. A limited number of picnic tables will be available. Picnic blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. Interested? Maudslay State Park invites you for a close-up view of a live owl and her babies in the nest, through a
spotting scope. Plus visit the park interpreter’s table to learn more about this raptor and see
skulls, feathers and owl pellets. Bring binoculars for better viewing of the nest. All ages are
welcome! Follow the signs from the parking lot to the field site.
Enjoy a hayride as you journey thru the park and along the river, to appreciate the rosebay rhododendrons as they exhibit their beauty.
