Northern Essex Community College is offering a week-long Summer Music Festival at its Haverhill Campus for pianists, violinists, and cellists of all musical levels, August 6 through August 10. Open to musicians 10 and older, the program will focus on solo and chamber repertoire, technique, and fundamental music theory, all in relation to their historical content.

Come to Downtown Marblehead to find out all about it, witness flyovers by Marine Corp aircraft past and present and get up close and personal with Marine Corp helicopters and meet their crews! The largest free folk festival in the nation, with continuous music on six outdoor stages, takes place July 27-29, 2012 in downtown Lowell, Massachusetts. A partial lineup of performers, representing folk, bluegrass, gospel, world music, dance and more, appears below. The festival takes place on six different stages in historic downtown Lowell.
Beverly Homecoming was first celebrated in 1966, making 2012 the 47th annual celebration. The week is just around the corner, and the Homecoming Committee is expecting record crowds. Planning for the 2012 week-long event began just as last year's fireworks went off, and more fun is planned.
Beverly Homecoming will take place July 27, 2012 – August 5, 2012. The Lobster Festival, one of Homecoming’s highlights, will take place on Wednesday, August 1st at Lynch Park.
The Lucky Duck Derby, hosted by Newburyport Youth Services, is a family and community event. Don’t be a Lame Duck, join the fun! Participants will 'sponsor' ducks. Children will receive a 'Duckie Certificate' and be able to name their ducks. Up to 2,000 rubber duckies will be numbered and placed in the Bartlet Mall pond. The Big Duck will head out in a row boat and randomly pick the winning ducks!
The group of seventeen galleries that participate in this popular art-focused event have expanded the schedule to a full weekend of gallery activities in 2012. The increased interest in the 2011 ArtWalk led to this positive change. Also new this year will be bright new ArtWalk banners and location signs...Enjoy!
