Maple Season is here! This special program for ages 3 and up will focus on the magic of maple from start to finish. We will discover this tradition by observing trees, tasting sap, learning the tools involved, and finally, tasting the sweet product. We will make sure to have time to visit our barnyard animals!
Celebrate National Children's Dental Health Month with students from Essex Tech Dental Program at North Shore Children's Museum. Children will enjoy stories, songs, and activities about teeth and dentists and will have an opportunity to practice their brushing skills! Families of all ages are welcome.
Spend your vacation week visiting another world (at Amesbury Public Library)! This program is a self contained quest and so you can come if you've never played D&D or a roleplaying game before or if you are a huge fan (and meet some other fans)! This Session is specifically organized for kids ages 11-14.

Join the specialists of Wingmasters for a live birds of prey demonstration at the Hamilton Wenham Public Library. Birds of prey are also known as raptors, and they are hunting birds characterized by hooked beaks and powerful grabbing feet armed with sharp talons (the word raptor comes from a Latin word that means "to seize"). Raptors can also boast the best eyesight and the sharpest hearing in the animal kingdom. Raptors include hawks, falcons and owls, and this presentation, which incorporates 8 live birds of prey gives an overview of these different categories.

Winter is the perfect time of year to go out in search of owls. Before we head out on our adventure, we'll learn about these fascinating birds in our Nature Center using real owl mounts, feathers, and talons. We'll end our exploration with an owl-hooting lesson!
Students ages 8-10 are encourage to come to the Danvers Library to learn the game of Chess! We have the chess boards -- you bring your brain & sportspersonship. Registration required.

Our engaging and experienced staff will introduce families to local beaches, forests, and wetlands to make observations in nature, identify wildlife, and enjoy hands on science activities outdoors. Join us for a very special evening hike to see the owls who might be out and about in the dark winter woods and fields of Appleton Farms. This hike will take place along the trails of Appleton, known to have multiple species of owls. Before our hike, you’ll learn about wintertime nocturnal animals and what to listen for on your journey. Then, we’ll embark on a 45-60 minute hike as we follow some of Appleton Farms’ most beautiful trails to see what we can hear.
