The Annual Marblehead Museum Pumpkin Illumination in collaboration with the Marblehead Family Fund will take place in the Jeremiah Lee Mansion Gardens. All carved, painted and decorated pumpkins welcome. Judging by town “celebrity” judges for categories with prizes. All the town goblins and ghouls will want to stop by to take a peek at these wild creations during the town-wide Trick or Treat.

At sundown this Halloween season, Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary will be transformed into a magical forest. Take a guided walk along our Halloween trail, lit by glowing luminaries and home to some interesting characters that come out just for Halloween. Learn about local animals of the night and signs of the season on this, fun family-friendly walk. Allow about one and a half hours for this walk.

Entertainers, street performers and live music performances all add to the festive atmosphere. Wear a costume or come to just feel the anticipation of Halloween in the air! Newburyport Youth Services invites middle school aged girls to come celebrate their friendships, explore new activities and speak their minds in a 'girl's only' atmosphere. This is a hang out for 4th and 5th grade girls! There will be nail painting, temporary tattoos, friendship bracelet making, a self defense class courtesy of the Dojo and of course, snacks! This event is free. Please register in advance- however, limited spots will be available at the door.
