Come join or watch this Salem tradition to kick off Haunted Happenings that is filled with pageantry, music, and the enthusiasm of thousands of Salem’s students from kindergarten to college. This year’s theme is "Movie Monsters". Parade begins at Shetland Park and ends at Salem Common.

Shop for uniquely Salem items at over 100 vendor booths on the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall, Hawthorne Boulevard and surrounding areas. Entertainers, street performers and live music performances all add to the festive atmosphere. Wear a costume or come to just feel the anticipation of Halloween in the air! Hosted by the Salem Chamber of Commerce.
Take a stroll up historic Chestnut Street and join the sea chantey-singing Salem pirates for tricks, treats, and treasures at Historic New England’s Phillips House on Halloween night. This special family-friendly event is free and takes place on Thursday, October 31 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Salem’s official trick-or-treating hours.
There's nothing like October in Salem and the SCNA is thrilled to host two weekends of our annual Kids Carnival on the Common including rides, face painting, and family fun! There is no admission fee to enter the carnival. Tickets for rides are $3/ticket or $15 for an unlimited daily wristband. Each ride costs 1 ticket.
