Come to the library for a sweetheart-story time! We'll read a variety of seasonal stories and then create an inspired-by-love craft. This program is designed for ages 2 and up. No registration necessary.
Children are invited to come and make a Valentine’s card for their favorite author or book character. We will have teens to help them at each table with the craft and to suggest ideas. Kids can take them home or display them in the Children’s Room.
Celebrate Valentines Day the natural way... outdoors! Escape the hearts and join us for an afternoon of skiing or snowshoeing (or hiking if no snow) through Ravenswood's carriage paths of rolling hills and dales. Warm up afterwards around the woodstove with a tasting of Appleton Farms cheeses, local chocolate, and wine. Pre-registration required. Bring your own skis or snowshoes (or rent snowshoes from us).
Make lollipop valentines for all of your friends! We’ll also make valentines for people in the community. Come show your friends and your community that you care! Drop-in for all ages.
Come to the Hastings House for an ice cream social in Beverly Farms! Make your own Sundae with Capt. Dusty's ice cream and all the fixings. Materials will be available to make Valentines for that special person. Free for Members and only $5.00 for non-Members.
Parents who can't find a babysitter for Valentine's Day are in luck! the Children's Museum of NH is hosting a Kids Valentine's Night so parents can drop off their children and go out to dinner. In 2014,, the first-ever Kids Valentine's Night at the museum will offer four hours of fun for kids including dinner, educator-led activities and dessert. The program is open to children ages 5 and up, though 4 year olds will be accepted if registered with an older sibling. A maximum of 30 children can participate and pre-registration is required.
Teens are invited to a fun, hands-on cooking class with cookbook author Anna Tourkakis.
Participants will prepare and then enjoy a delicious and healthy dinner featuring: Greens with Black Grapes and Farmers Cheese, Vegetarian Quesadillas, and Caramelized Apple Slices with Ginger and Chocolate Drizzle.
Families are invited to share the love in February by attending the second annual Very, Very Valentine’s Dance at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. Kids and adults will enjoy an evening together at the museum celebrating Valentine's Day with dancing, treats and fun crafts and activities!
