Methuen Ballet Ensemble will present the tale of Peter Pan, the boy who refuses to grow up! Join Peter as he takes Wendy, John, and Michael Darling on the greatest adventure any siblings have ever had! Peter whisks the children off to Neverland where they meet the lost boys, Tinker Bell and Princess Tiger Lily. Together, they wage fierce battles against the evil Captain Hook and his band of pirates. Will Peter Pan return the Darling children safely to their home? Come to the Firehouse Center for the Arts to find out!

Come to Rockport Library for a book reading, followed by a dance performance!

Don't miss a Reading and Dance Performance of Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig with author David Ira Rottenberg and ballerinas from Nadine's Dance Center of Gloucester. Following the performance, dancers will lead children in a mini-movement lesson. Bring their dancing shoes, and don't forget the camera!

This parent/child program is designed for the creative, curious, and active preschooler. Each 90-minute session offers a structured series of activities including original songs, movement, dramatic play, hands-on science, and a thematic snack. You'll receive coloring pages, song lyrics, vocabulary, a fun fact sheet, and a suggested reading list in an electronic goody bag! This week we'll be focusing on eagles and their annual migration to the Merrimack River estuary!

When it's time to go home, you'll receive coloring pages, song lyrics, vocabulary, a fun fact sheet, and a suggested reading list via e-mail. At this ISL, we'll learn to identify tracks in the snow and about the creatures that leave them behind!

New Year's Rockport Eve 2012

Come to Rockport for a wonderful night a family New Year's Activities!

Rockport New Year's Eve will have plenty of fun and entertainment for families starting at 6 pm and running all the way through to the count down and ball drop in Dock Square at midnight! There will be magicians, puppet shows, and even a drum parade with a green dancing dragon.  This all happens with a backdrop live performances of dance & music ranging from classical music, jazz, reggae and rock & roll! So buy your buttons, come to Rockport, and get ready for a fun evening to ring in the New Year as a family!
