Join Backyard Growers at Sawyer Free Library Garden in Gloucester Massachusetts for Garden Storytime

Backyard Growers brings a fun outdoor children's gardening program to the library! Children will plan, plant, water, weed, maintain & harvest a garden at the library all summer in this series of Thursday morning events. Learn about gardening as we share books and stories while exploring the process of growing. The ecology focused summer reading theme of Read, Renew, Repeat strives to bring attention to our natural world, as well as caring for the environment.  Located at the library raised garden bed on the Middle Street side of the Saunders House (88 Middle Street.)

Teen Super Smash/Mario Kart Tournament

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament with One Up Games at Ipswich Public Library Massachusetts.

We are going to all play many copies of Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart at once (some on the Switch, some on the N64s provided), each player getting their name on a raffle ticket for every five minute round they win (SSB) or every 50cc course they win (MK). One prize for the most effectively lethal player (to be determined by Teen Librarian Katy's judgement of skill, enthusiasm, and growth) and one prize for the winner of the raffle.

IPL | Plum Island Pans Summer Kick Off

Come to the Ipswich Middle Grean to Kick-Off the Summer with Ipswich Library and Zach Firld Drum Studios

Ipswich Public Library invites kids and families to kick off the Summer Reading program with the Plum Island Pans - a local steel drum band! The band originates from Zach Field Drums & Music in Newburyport. The 4-piece band consists of a lead steel drum, double second steel drums, 6 can bass and a drum set. Plum Island Pans has even performed at Fenway Park for The Boston Red Sox. For all ages! The program is free and no registration is required.
