Children 2-5 and their parents, grandparents, or guardians are invited to play in our Children's Room. The children's room depicts Gloucester Harbor and includes 14 wooden buildings, 6 piers, 5 schooners, a dory, Ten Pound Island Lighthouse and various wooden people. Not surprisingly, a 3-5 year old can play in this room for hours. One of our educators will also read a seafaring children's book during this weekly event. We hope you can join us.

The Firehouse Center for the Arts is offering a week-long April vacation program of voice instruction and choreographed pop and Broadway show tunes ending with a public performance on Fri, April 20. Areas of instruction include the basics of good breath support, posture and vocal production, and performance techniques... all while having fun singing the songs kids love! Koto’s Stormy and Calm Seas a new piece commissioned by the Cape Ann Symphony is a musical depiction of the ocean during a storm and the calm that comes afterwards.
A Cape Ann holiday tradition, the Cape Ann Symphony Pops is a celebration of with favorites by Anderson, Bach, Herbert, Tchaikovsky, Rutter, Handel and more. The orchestra will be joined by the Cape Ann Symphony Chorus directed by Wendy Betts. We will conclude with the ever popular audience sing-along.
