Come see Warren Miller's 'Here There & EveryWhere' at the Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport!!

It’s been 67 years since ski-film pioneer Warren Miller first picked up a camera to capture the wonder, adventure, humor, and beauty that is skiing. Since that time, Warren Miller film crews have traveled the globe—from storied slopes to hidden, snow-covered corners—to celebrate all things snowsports.

Vacation Family Treks & Trails: Hawks, Owls & Eagles

Come explore the world of predatory raptors and birds on the North Shore!

What raptor is that flying overhead? How do birds stay warm all winter? Do you know how to identify an animal's tracks? Come find out as we guide you on a winter walk to keep minds and bodies active with group games, family challenges, and lots of great wildlife and bird sightings. We'll meet at Joppa Flats, then hop into our cars and head out for the day's adventure. All field equipment will be provided. Join us for one or more of these fun family programs during the holidays!

Celebrate hearth and home on a candlelit tour of this colonial salt water farm in Ipswich Massachusetts

Step back in time and be inspired by the nightscape at a 17th century saltwater farm. Stroll through the house, lit by candlelight, and imagine life in colonial days. This Open House is offered in conjunction with Ipswich is First...Period, a community celebration of 17th century architecture, and an homage to hearth, home and the celebration of Thanksgiving. A quartet will fill the halls with period music.

Based on Rudyard Kipling's timeless stories and inspired by Disney's classic animated film, The Jungle Book is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli, a man-cub who's been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan , who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. before Moglis family, a pack of wolves, can decide what to do with him, Mowgli voluntarily leaves the jungle on his own accord in search of man for the safety of his pack.  Along the way Mowgli meets many characters and has many adventures.  Join the fun in the retelling of this classic tale!.

Sandy Hook Teacher, survivor and hero Katilin Roig-Debellis will speak at Veterans Middle School in Marblehead!

The Friends of Marblehead Public Schools (FMPS) is proudly hosting author and teacher Kaitlin Roig-Debellis at the Marblehead Veterans Middle School Performing Arts Center. Kaitlin Roig-Debellis is credited with saving the lives of fifteen first-grade students at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14th, 2012. Her inspirational talk is suitable for everyone age 10 and older.

Waterfront Concert: Navy Band Northeast

The Navy Band Northeast will be the final concert of the Yankee Homecoming

Yankee Homecoming is proud to present Navy Band Northeast, who performs a wide variety of musical styles including traditional band literature, popular standards and patriotic favorites.  Whether performing for an outdoor summer concert series or a holiday concert in December, the band provides musical entertainment for audiences of all ages. Navy Band Northeast ensembles perform over 300 engagements annually, personifying the quality and professionalism of today’s Navy and instilling pride and patriotism during each and every performance.  One of Navy Band Northeast’s primary responsibilities involves touring their 11 state area of responsivities allowing the band to reach out to audiences in areas that do not have opportunities to see the Navy’s musical ensembles on a regular basis.  The concerts are family-friendly events meant to be entertaining to veterans, families, individuals and those interested in joining the Navy

Kids can play clocked chess matches against each other each Wednesday at the Abbot Public Library in Marblehead Massachusetts
