Nature Adventures with Picture Books: Crickets and Grasshoppers

Learn about crickets and grasshoppers at Ipswich River Sanctuary!

Rita Gallant, Lead Field Teacher at IRWS will read Crickets and Grasshoppers by Theresa Greenaway. Using nets and hand lenses, come explore with us as we examine a field and learn why crickets and grasshoppers sing and jump, how they eat, and what their similarities are.

Cooking Classes for Kids

Eurostoves is offering kids and teens the unique chance to learn to cook at the elbow of a professional chef in this hands-on summer series of classes. We will begin with how to use a knife safely and effectively and move on to key techniques including blanching, sauteing, searing, roasting, braising, baking, and grilling. Working safely and efficiently in the kitchen will be a continuous theme as will cooking creatively and having fun! Sign up for a day, a couple of days or for the whole week.
