Clifford Visits Children's Museum of NH

Come meet Clifford at the Children's Museum of NH!

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire is welcoming colossal canine Clifford The Big Red Dog  As part of the Books Alive program. Museum staff will be reading a variety of Clifford stories written by Norman Bridwell throughout the day. The big friendly dog himself will be popping in and out to greet children, exchange a hug or high-five, and pose for photos. There will also be a variety of dog-inspired literacy, math and creative activities for children to participate in.

Jedi Knight Training

Learn to defeat the Sith and embrace the Light side of the force on Salem Common

Children between the ages of four and nine years old will have a chance to interact with a real Jedi Knight. Jedi Knight Training will be held on the Common — an interactive performance that is great for both boys and girls! Children are led through a series of challenges including Jedi Force Magic, the Laser Balloon Barrage and Jedi Teamwork culminating in an epic lightsaber duel with the Jedi Master himself. This FREE event is open to children aged 4-9, and costumes are encouraged!

Long Hill invites children to come pick their own flower bouquet in their garden

Organic and local - right here at Long Hill! Zinnias, snapdragons, rudbeckia, sunflowers, dahlias, and more bouquet-worthy flowers. Flower bouquets are priced at $7 for a large size, $3 for a child size. Please visit the garden anytime, but pick-your-own is only available at the hours stated. Learn sustainable gardening techniques in this educational, kid-friendly garden.

Nature journaling is a tool for making discoveries about nature. It involves drawing, but you don't have to be an artist. After a brief orientation and introductory exercises, the class will explore the journaling process along the trails of the sanctuary.
