Ipswich Public Library host a movie during April Vacation! Movie Screening of Migration by Illumination Stuidios in the Collins Room with a great projection and sound system. Popcorn and bottled water provided. One per guest. Rated PG.
Spring is finally upon us! Learn about what happens in the spring and explore all the changes taking place in the park with the interpreter guiding this experience of discovery. We will walk around 1.5 miles. Trails can be muddy.
On April 15, 1912, 112 years ago, the tragic RMS Titanic sinking occurred. Join us in learning more about what happens after a ship wrecks, how animals use these wrecks, and what wrecks we have here locally!
Here in Massachusetts we are lucky enough to host some of the largest animals on earth - whales! Join us in learning more about these majestic mammals! Particitpants learn all about whale behaviors and observe their food source under our microscopes. Create your own unique whale tail design to take home! For kids ages 6-10.
Come explore what nature has in store at some of our most amazing wild places on the north shore. Our engaging and experienced staff will introduce families to local beaches, forests, and wetlands to make observations in nature, identify wildlife, and enjoy hands on science activities outdoors. Sign up for one, some, or all! For kids aged 4-11.
Each year on the first warm rainy night of spring, wood frogs and mole salamanders begin a mass migration to the vernal pools where they breed. If you happen to be out on one of these evenings, the experience can be like a spectacular amphibian celebration. It's called "Big Night!" For families and kids ages 4 and up.
Have a new or struggling reader who needs to build confidence and practice reading aloud? Come read to Hendrix, the trained therapy dog, a sweet a non-judgmental listener! Bring your own book to read, or choose one of ours.
Peabody Institute Library - Danvers invites kids to an afternoon of building and fun! Activities will include free build, themes and instructional design. All structures will remain on display in the Children’s Room till the following weeks's session
Do YOU have what it takes? Join us over April Vacation on Thursday, April 18 at 11:00am for a variety of 1-minute S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) challenges and compete against the clock for fun prizes! Designed for children ages 5 and up. No registration is necessary.
