Tide Pool Explorers at Sandy Point

Low tide is the perfect time for tide pooling at Sandy Point Reservation!

Join the Interpreter too explore the tide pools at SSandy Point! We will be looking at ddifferent organisms that inhhabit the pools such as crabs, sand dollars, starfish, periwwinkles, and many more! Meet at the first parking lot near thee beach entrance. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Parking at Sandy Pooint is limited. Astronomy and Science Club

Science and Astronomy Club for grades 1-5 at the Beverly MA Library

The astronomy & science club is for grade-school children who are interested in learning more about Science, Astronomy, and outer space. in the fall of 2014, kids will be exploring the Science of Superheroes! Can people use science to replicate superpowers? Can we see through solid objects, talk to each other with just our minds, become invisible? And how about flying like either Superman or Iron Man? We will take a hard look at our favorite superpowers, separate myth from what might be possible and create our own superheroes.

Kids and families will learn about birding at Harold Parker State Forest

Meet at Campground Nature Center - - There are numerous bird species that make Harold Parker their home. Join the park interpreter for an easy walk on the park’s trails while identifying birds by sight and sound. Appropriate for all ages. Bring binoculars if you have them.

Let’s Go Fly a Kite: A Practically Perfect Mary Poppins Party

Come fly a kite at the Trustees of Reservations Castle Hill Estate in Ipswich Massachusetts! Photo by Bill O'Connor

It’s an afternoon of Poppins fun for the whole family at this Mary Poppins Party at Crane Estate. Activities include kite making and flying, chalk drawing, lawn games, and more. Kite aficionados from Kites Over New England are on hand to show their kites and flying techniques. Tea, lemonade, and cookies are served.

Young Conservations ages 9-11 will learn abou ecology on Cape Ann!

Spring is a time of renewal and growth. After-school activities include lending a hand with conservation work, eco-splorations, journeying as a waterdrop from land to sea, uncovering secret tales, journaling, mapping/orienteering, and hiking our forest, wetlands, and mountainsides.
