Join MRWC and naturalists from Marine Mammal Rescue at the Seacoast Science Center to observe harbor seals at Salisbury Beach. The lack of boat traffic in the winter allows for greater seal activity close to shore. Our group will be viewing these seals from a safe distance of at least 150 feet away. After introductions, we will walk together a short distance to where the seals are hauled out.

In addition, each day brings a special event, including yoga, plein air painting, dog day, arts and crafts, and more. This film focuses on the issues facing children in the school systems of America today, and leaves you thinking about what it really takes to produce a happy, motivated, creative human being.
Discover one of Gloucester's most vital ecosystems - the salt marsh. Learn about all of the wildlife that depend on it for survival, and investigate its importance for coastal communities. Get up close with some salt marsh flora and fauna, and play a game to learn more about what it take. For kids ages 6-10.

Bring a flashlight and climb Sagamore Hill to watch one of the year's best meteor showers. The North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club members will also have their telescopes set up, so you can take turns taking a closer look at galaxies, nebulae, stars, planets and more! The Club members will answer your questions about the night sky while you enjoy the Aquarids Meteor Shower.

"Miss Lisa" and her team will assist with the identification of creatures, provide small group challenges, and share our joy and knowledge about the natural world.
