Ipswich Museum hosts their winter exhibit - 'Focusing on the Child'

Ipswich Museum hosts their Winter exhibit 'Focusing on the Child'.  This exhibit explores the lives of children in Ipswich through a variety of paintings, photographs, and objects.  Family-friendly activities will complement the exhibit each Sunday and regular first floor Museum rooms will be open for viewing.  Call 978-356-2811 for information or visit www.ipswichmuseum.org.  Free for Museum members and children, $7/non-members and $5/seniors.

Wenham Museum Spectrum Express

Wenham Museum welcomes families with members on the autism spectrum to come enjoy the model railroad trains and their other favorite exhibits at a special time.  On the first Sunday of each month the museum will open exclusively for these families at 9 a.m. at regular admission prices or free for members.  The museum opens to the general public at 10 a.m. Wenham Spectrum Express participants are welcome to stay or leave at their own discretion.

See miniature Snoopy and the gang skate across a tiny pond, old-fashioned cars fill the gas-lit streets, and tiny clothes pin people cheerfully visit throughout a snow-covered village as the train clatters by.

Get a jump start on your weekend with the Second Friday Program at the MIT Museum! The January 2014 Second Friday introduces visitors to MIT's +K12 Video Production Program and the students that continue to make it happen. Learn how MIT students from MIT+K-12 are changing the way that students learn. Students will demo live experiments to show how cool science can actually be - moving away from just memorizing equations and symbols out of a textbook. From color-changing chemical reactions to autonomous flying robots, we'll show you a different side of numbers and equations!
