In this class kids will dye a tea towel with natural dyes and learn about how natural dyes are made. They'll also explore seed travel and talk about how plants get ready for the winter. The holidays are just around the corner, and soon you’ll be planning your family’s holiday feasts. Some possible offerings include: Curried Pumpkin Soup, Crown Roast of Pork with Sausage Walnut Stuffing & Bacon-Laced Gravy, Sautéed Apple Slices with Spiced Sweet Potato Purée, and Raspberry Almond Torte.

Join watercolorist Brenda Sloane in a monthly program that combines nature and art. We will start with a walk on the sanctuary to observe the topic of the month. We will then return to the Nature Center to create a follow-up work of art.
