Koto’s Stormy and Calm Seas a new piece commissioned by the Cape Ann Symphony is a musical depiction of the ocean during a storm and the calm that comes afterwards.
Gather your family and friends and come over to the Firehouse for a little old-fashioned Holiday Sing-Along to kick off your Holidays with music! The Youth Choir from the Immaculate Conception Church (Newburyport), directed by Donna Postle, will be there to lead everyone in singing some well-loved carols, with music provided by John Metrano on piano. Our favorite elf, Terry Blanchard, will once again read “ ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” while wearing his famous stocking cap knit exclusively for this annual presentation by the North Pole’s very talented Mrs. Elf.
A Cape Ann holiday tradition, the Cape Ann Symphony Pops is a celebration of with favorites by Anderson, Bach, Herbert, Tchaikovsky, Rutter, Handel and more. The orchestra will be joined by the Cape Ann Symphony Chorus directed by Wendy Betts. We will conclude with the ever popular audience sing-along.
Cape Ann Makers Market, 2021 Spring Market is a great way to see what local makers and artisans have to offer! Weather permitting this will be an outdoor event, otherwise will be held indoors. Pleases also note, we'll be doing our best to make this a safe holiday shopping experience for all with masks required, hand sanitizer available, number of people in shop at a time may be limited. Kids are invited to the The Marblehead Museum & Historical Society for a gingerbread workshop! Come create your own entry for the 2024 Marblehead Gingerbread Festival. Two workshops are schedule for kids ages 2-4 (with adult) at 1pm and kids 5-10 are at 3pm. Registration required.

Come to Appleton on the Saturday before Mother’s Day and make your own gifts for all the moms in your life. Or, bring mom with you and make them together! We’ll have a selection of local artisans teaching visitiors how to make a variety of crafts and you will get to take home one from each.
Join The Trustees of Reservations as they host a Mother’s Day picnic brunch at Appleton Farms. Instead of our usual Fire Pit or Pizza Picnics, the day will feature a menu of items specially made in house in our own Farmstead Kitchen by our culinary team, menu to be announced soon.
