NEW this summer are narrated harbor cruises on Friday afternoons departing from the Salem Maritime National Historic Site. Come aboard Naumkeag and discover the wonders of coastal Essex County.

On your voyage you'll see FIVE harbor lighthouses, military fortifications, historic houses, and grand estates. The sights of Salem Sound tell a fascinating story of communities shaped by the sea.

Wild Designs, on exhibit at Peabody Essex Museum, features works by artists and other creatives who are looking to nature and living systems for new ideas and creative solutions to human problems. Explore bioinspired innovations in design, technology, and art that either model or engage nature to generate more sustainable solutions.

About Boating Safety | If you are interested in an exciting, in-depth boating safety course, check out this in classroom training. If you are interested in an exciting, in-depth boating safety course, check out this in classroom training.This boating class will give you the knowledge needed to obtain a youth boat license or safety certification. Many boat insurance companies will offer discounts on boating insurance to boaters who successfully complete About Boating Safely. This is a 1 day [8 hour] essential boating safety training open to kids ages 12 and up, as well as adults. Lunch is provided.
