Cape Ann Museum Make and Take Fabric Postcards Gloucester Massachusetts

The Sisters In Stitches Joined By The Cloth will be hosting a Make & Take workshop where attendees can create their own fabric postcards at the Janet & William Ellery James Center at the Cape Ann Museum Green on Sunday, July 24. This hands-on event is presented in conjunction with In Her Mind’s Eye: Doris Elizabeth Prouty, an exhibition of quilts designed and sewn by Gloucester resident and self-taught African American quilter, Doris Elizabeth Prouty. Free and open to the public, seats limited and registration required.

Bowl Painting at The Open Door

Proceeds from the Open Door Empty Bowl dinner benefit community programs.

The Open Door invites you to bowl painting session! Bring the kids to come paint bowls for the annual Open Door Empty Bowl Circus in May where painted bowls will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. This free session is an opportunity to express yourself artistically while helping The Open Door raise funds to aid North Shore families and individuals in need.

Explore the printing process used by the Folly Cove Designer at Cape Ann Museum!

Learn about the Folly Cove Designers' process, then get to work in the Children's Activity Center. Explore the Folly Cove Designs, create prints using stamps, foam shapes and styrofoam. Also, examine a linoleum block and tools similar to those used by the original Designers. This drop-in program is free for members and Cape Ann residents or with Museum admission. Museum of Fine Arts Playdates

Visit Massachusetts for family fun with MFA Playdates North Shore Baby, Children and Families

Bring your toddler to enjoy story time and looking activities in the galleries, followed by art making. Tours leave on a rolling basis starting at 10:15 am. The last tour leaves at 10:55 am.
