Wouldn't you like to introduce your little ones to reading and the joys of a library? Get them reading early and they will read for life. The Emma Andrews Library at 77 Purchase Street is offering story hours four times a week.

On Wednesdays, 3 and 4 year olds may join us from 9:30 to 10:30 and 4 and 5 year olds from 1:30 to 2:30. We will read 2 or 3 stories and help them create a craft related to the stories to take home.

On Mondays, toddlers and their siblings may come from 9:30 to 10:30.We will again read stories, sing songs, make a craft and play games.

Save the date and spend a day at Windrush Farm Birthday Celebration. Enjoy games, hay rides, pony meet and greet, arts & crafts, live music, barnyard animal petting zoo, nature walks and $1,000 Cash Raffle. And there's always a miniature pony wandering around the farm looking for kids to become friends with.

Paint Essex: 3rd Annual En Plein Air Painting and Wet Paint Auction sponsored by Essex Merchants Group will bring numerous fine artists to Essex to paint the Great Marsh, Essex River, antiques, historic sites and landscape of Essex. Sculptors are welcome to build or donate sculptures to Sunday's auction and 10 photographers may participate. Several antique shop interiors are available for artists too. Space is limited: one artist per participating shop.
