Heidi Dallin's Youth Acting Workshops at the Gloucester Stage Company are a fantastic introduction to theatre basics, and a great way for kids to further their performing arts. Ms. Dallin's workshops are designed to provide young people who possess a variety of abilities and levels of interest an outlet to develop self-confidence, communication and teamwork skills.
Students are introduced to the skills necessary for professional theatre through theatre basics including improvisation, character preparation, vocal & physical expression, theatre games, storytelling, writing and public speaking.
Grants from the The National Endowment for the Arts / Art Works Program and funding from other sources have created an opportunity for lowered tuition and longer classes in this session!
- Registration is open for the Winter 2012 Session which begins on Saturday, February 3.
- for kids aged 6-19
- The workshop meets every Friday & Saturday for two hours for six weeks
- Students are divided into age groups.
- Class size is limited and registration is on a first come basis.
The youth acting workshops are taught by award winning actress Heidi Dallin, and guest instructors music teacher Helen Greene and artist Rokhaya Waring.
