Join The Trustees of Reservations for a harrowing Halloween Hike through the haunted trails of the Crane Wildlife Refuge! This night boasts the only “black moon” of 2016, so it will be very dark and scary!
According to Farmer's Almanac, there is no astronomical significance in a Black Moon. Nothing happens, except the usual New Moon absence of any Moon in the sky, plus the stronger tides we get for a few days around every Full Moon and New Moon.
Please note: We will be hiking up and down dunes, through soft sand, for approximately 1.5 miles. Dress for the weather to maximize comfort and minimize misery! Water is always good to have along.
The adventure finishes with witches brew and pumpkin bread around a campfire on the beach.
