Head down to Shepard Memorial Park on Monday morning, May 29th at 11am (rain or shine) for the Essex Memorial Day service. Tribute will be paid to those who gave their lives in military service to their country. You may even learn something “new” about Essex!
Wenham Massachusetts Memorial Day Services commence with and a Decoration of the Cheeseman Memorial in Pingree Park. The Wenham Memorial Day Parade kicks off at the American Legion building.The parade forms at American Legion building (Wenham COA and Buker School) starting at 12:30 p.m. Parade starts at 1 p.m. with stops at the Veterans Memorial Monument, the Civil War Memorial, and the Wenham Town Cemetery on Main Street. The Council on Aging van will be avaiulable to provide transportation between locations for anyone requiring assistance.
The Danvers Memorial Day parade begins at Town Hall at 9 a.m. sharp, and will follow the traditional route of previous years - down Sylvan Street, through downtown and back to Town Hall. Placement of wreaths will be at the Porter Cemetery on High Street, Lane Parkway, and the Memorial Flag Pole in Danvers Square.
Cape Ann Veteran Services host memorial day services at the Gloucester High School Auditorium starting at 9am.
Marblehead's Memorial Day activities start at an 8am muster and service at Clark's Landing, where Veterans leave from the Old Town House on Washington Street march along Pleasant Street to Memorial Park. The main parade begins and participants will march the following route:
Peabody Celebrates Memorial Day by remembering fallen veterans with services, a parade and a ceremony at the Peabody City Hall. The parade begins at the intersection of Washington Street and Allens Lane at 11 a.m.
The Rowley Board of Selectmen and VFW Post 5707 will host a ceremony observing Memorial Day at Town Common in Rowley Massaschusetts. There will be a speaker and a flag raising ceremony, and a singing of the national anthem on the Town Common. Prior to the ceremony, a Memorial Day parade will begin at PGS and continue to the to the common. Participants and attendees are encourages to wear red, shite and blue. Students are also welcome to wear their girl or boy scout uniforms, or their sports uniforms.
The Salem MA Memorial Day Parade Schedule is as follows:
Join the Saugus Veteran's Council as we honor the memory of our fallen comrades. The parade will begin at Anna Parker Playground at 10:00 AM and proceed through Cliftondale to Central Street to Winter Street to the Veterans lot at Riverside Cemetery for our Memorial Day ceremony.
