Celebrate Independence Day in a park named after one of America's most patriotic sons. What could be more American than that? Celebrate the Fourth at Patton Park as Hamilton and Wenham continue their tradition thanks to the Community House Of Hamilton & Wenham.
Ipswich's Independence Day Parade begins Winthrop School, up Manning Street, along High Street to East Street, then turns to follow Water Street along the River to the Ipswich Town Hall. Kids and other participants are invited to show up at 9am to decorate bikes, trikes and wagons, with the parade starting at 10am. At the end of parade, there will be foot races, a bouncy house and other activities at Town Hall.
Come join the Ryal Side Civic Association in Beverly Massachusetts for the 88th annual old fashion Ryal Side neighborhood Fourth of July parade followed by food, field games, pony rides, and festivities at Obear Park. The parade and festivities are presented by the Ryal Side Civic Association, a tradition since 1934. Manchester’s annual salute to America is a wonderful tradition, complete with stirring music, precision marching bands, imaginative home made floats, antique cars, and just about everything else that represents the pride and patriotism we all share for our country. Simply stated, Manchester’s Fourth of July Celebration is small town America at its very best! The celebration kicks off with a concert and fireworks on July 3rd at Singing Beach followed by a parade on the 4th.
The Veterans Posts of Ipswich will host a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial on Monday, May 29, 2023 in honor of Memorial Day. This event is in lieu of the traditional parade as our members are increasingly unable to participate due to age and infirmity.
Hamilton’s American Legion A.P. Gardner Post 194 host the annual parade. Marchers will assemble and step off the parade from Town Hall to the Soldiers Monument, then to Hamilton Cemetery for a short ceremony. The parade continues to Town Hall, the Community House, Patton Park, and ends at the Legion Post with a reading of deceased members/veterans.
Memorial Day starts with a small ceremony at American Legion Lot at 8:45 Locust Grove Cemetery Lanesville. The parade leaves at 10:00am sharp from American Legion Hall Beach st. to Beech Grove cemetery, the parade will reform and proceed down Pleasant Street to Mount Pleasant St. to Harvey Park where the parade will pause for a brief ceremonial laying of a wreath in Harvey Park and back to White Wharf then American Legion Hall.
In Manchester, legion members and parade participants will assemble Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the Amaral-Bailey Post 113 for a brief seaside service. Wreaths and flowers will be dropped into the harbor in remembrance of those lost at sea. The parade then will move on to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery to salute fallen armed-forces personnel and formal Memorial Day Services.
At 7:30 AM at Alliance Park, veterans will gather to toss a wreath into the Merrimack River in honor of all fallen Marines and Sailors. From there, wreaths will be placed at the Veteran’s plot in Union Cemetery, then to the Doughboy statue and Justin Memorial, and then the Polish Memorial on Market Street.
Newburyport celebrates Memorial Day with a parade, a memorial service at city hall and waterfront ceremony for fallen Coastgaurdsmen. Marchers in the parade are asked to assemble at the CVS on pond Street at 10:15am. The parade will then head to City Hall for a ceremony at 11am.
