Art on the Bartlet Mall

For 40 years there has been the Art on Bartlet Mall painting show the first weekend of Newburyport Yankee Homecoming.

For 40 years there has been the Art on Bartlet Mall painting show the first weekend of Yankee Homecoming.  This year 60 artists again will be showing all media of work including a few hand-pulled printing artists.  The artists are from Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and even New Jersey.  There are award winners in over half of the participants.

The Yankee Homecoming Waterfront Concert Series invites you to enjoy rock and roll on the waterfront with Gary Hoey. With a collection of 21 albums it’s no wonder Gary Hoey is listed as one of the top 100 guitarists of all time.  The world renowned rock guitarist’s first break came in 1987 when Ozzy Osbourne liked Hoey’s tape enough to fly him to LA for an audition and encouraging him to move to the West Coast.

Market Square Day

Market Square Day has been a Newburyport tradition for over 50 years!

Market Square Day features is a juried craft show with all handmade items from some of the most talented artisans in New England. This year the Market Square Craft Day Event will be combined with the Artisans Revival (held on Inn Street all nine days throughout Yankee Homecoming).  Both are  juried shows with all handmade items from some of the most talented artisans in New England.  We are pleased to have back some of your favorites as well as some new crafters with amazing talents.

The Yankee Homecoming Parade is a traditional New England parade featuring bands

The Annual Yankee Homecoming parade is a Traditional New England Parade that is sure to please! There will be a variety of entertaining floats and marchers.  Yankee Homecoming and the people of Newburyport all come together to watch a parade on the first Sunday in August. The streets lined with families, friends, and visitors have made this parade a long time favorite summer tradition.
