Join us at Manchester Public Library for Movie Night!  Valentine’s Day is soon. Join us for a romantic movie that was filmed in Manchester.  For three years, Andrew Paxton has slaved as the assistant to Margaret Tate, hard-driving editor at a New York publisher. When Margaret, a Canadian, faces deportation for an expired visa, she hatches a scheme to marry Andrew. Andrew had plans to fly home for the weekend for his grandma's 90th, so Margaret goes with him - to Sitka, Alaska. Tensions between dad and Andrew, an ex-girlfriend, Andrew's dislike of Margaret, and her past, color the next few days, with the INS ready to charge Andrew with fraud and deport Margaret.  This movie stars Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds, and Betty White.           

Brookwood School invites you to attend its upcoming admissions open house during which families can tour the school, meet faculty, attend an information program with Head of School Laura Caron and hear from Grade 8 students.

Manchester Bike and Pedestrian Committee together with Manchester-Essex Rotary Club are sponsoring a bike safety rodeo! Kids ages 5-14 are encouraged to bring their bikes for a bike and helmet safety check. This event will focus on safety tips and training, with an obstacle course and bike handling skills instruction.  Snacks will be provided.  Sign up via email, or on the day of the event!

Cohen, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist specializing in play therapy and parenting skills and author of The Opposite of Worry: The Playful Parenting Approach to Childhood Anxieties and Fears, to share simple, effective strategies that build connection through fun, play, and empathy. Whether it's the monster in the closet or the fear that arises from new social situations, school, or sports, anxiety can be especially challenging for children.
