Waldorf Math: A Uniquely Engaging Curriculum

How many times have you heard someone say, "I'm not a math person"? At Cape Ann Waldorf School, everyone is a math person. In our early childhood classrooms, students develop the foundation for math with rhythmic activity, movement, games, real work, and lots of play. From early childhood across the grades, the Cape Ann Waldorf School math curriculum unfolds in a meaningful and coordinated way. Students explore and practice math in ways that fully engage them, through movement, artistic work, music, and practical activities. This multi-sensory, experiential approach leads to stronger understanding, better recall and eager anticipation for taking on their next challenge.

It will be held again this year at Glen Urquhart School in Beverly Farms. SummerScape features representatives from over 50 day and residential summer programs for youth and teens throughout New England.
