As spring arrives and settles in, Miss Lisa wants to take you through the woods, on the trails, and along the shore to look for creatures, explore, and play. We'll use our "science eyes" and "nature ears" for some outdoor family fun! The session will be spent exploring pond life at Woodsom Farm in Amesbury!
Always wanted to know how to read the night sky? Come Star Gazing with the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club to enjoy outdoor night sky observation. See open clusters, planetary nebulae, and galaxies millions of light years away. Telescopes provided on site.
Come to Cider hill Farm for our Blueberry Festivaland get your seasonal fill of this wonderful superfood! There will be Blueberry Picking, Hayrides, Live Music, Cotton Candy Cart, Food for our farm food truck, The PitchFORK, and a Fresh Pressed Lemonade Cart where you can try our Blueberry Mint Lemonade, Strawberry Basil or keep it simple with a classic lemonade.
Our 3rd Annual Donut Day is on 6/1 from 10 am - 4 pm. And it’s WAY more than just donuts! Did you know National Donut Day started in Chicago in 1938 as a tribute to The Salvation Army “Doughnut Lassies”? The Lassies traveled overseas during WWI to help support & boost morale of front line troops by setting up small huts to provide supplies and baked goods. Nicknamed “Donut Lassies,” the women who served donuts to troops are often credited with popularizing the donut in the United States.

Come to a FREE, engaging presentation with Jon Mattleman, mental health counselor/ trainer. Jon has over 30 years of experience working with youth, parents, and families. He has given this presentation to thousands across New England providing them with toolsthey can implement immediately, and we are so excited to have him! This is an adults only event.
Come to Flatbread Pizza - Amesbury for great wood-fired, home-made flatbread pizza and help Theater in the Open raise funds for their programs! Theater in the Open is dedicated to developing theater skills in kids and young adults for the benefit of the community. Most of their performances are free of charge and are usually performed on-site at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport by local talent. Come enjoy some pizza and help this great community resource continue its mission of developing local talent and creating social bonds through the performing arts!
The Amesbury Cultural Council is bringing back the Pines Music Festival to Amesbury Town Park for it’s second year in a row. The festival is free, family-friendly and open to the public. The festival features 3 bands, a variety of food, and a beer garden. Come to Amesbury to enjoy the peaceful setting of Amesbury Pines and the newly restored bandstand!
ART + NATURE Summer Camp at Sparhawk School
The Art+Nature Summer Program is designed for students ages 5-10 years old who love building, creating, exploring and having a messy good time. Each week your child will be immersed in a theme, with new art and nature focused projects. Learning adventures take place on the beautiful grounds and in classrooms at our Lower campus as well as in the natural classrooms in nearby communities. The Art+Nature staff is comprised of Sparhawk School staff and alumni as well as art and nature specialists from our extended community.
Register today for this special parent & child art class series on Wednesday mornings at the Sparhawk School with Catherine Kulik, the Sparhawk Elementary & Middle School art teacher. Your child will explore diverse ways of creating art and experiment with new, engaging materials while learning about line, color, texture and notable works of art. This class is sure to engage their sensory skills as well as their innate curiosity about the visual world around them. Each class is limited to ten children and runs for 5 week sessions.
