Do you know that the library has lots of games in our new board game collection? Well, we want you to try them out! We're going to have board games for the whole family and for just teens or adults...some quick, some long.
Join us at Heron Pond Farm for some food science! We'll be right at the spot where the food grows so learn through a book about sciencist and then experiment yourself to learn something new! This program will end with exploration of the Children's Garden. This is aimed for K - 4th graders. No registration is required.
Join Amesbury Carriage Museum for a FREE monthly drop-in time at the Industrial History Center for 6 to 12 year olds. Drop in for family Tinkertime and try your hand at weaving!
Paddle the quiet waters of the Powow and enjoy the late summer evening air! On this date an afternoon moonrise will progress to 74% of full Harvest Moon illumination at 8:46 PM. Shine on!! This provides the optimum opportunity for a beautiful moonlit paddle along the shores of the Powwow Conservation Area on scenic Lake Gardner. Starting at the recently refurbished Lake Gardner Beach, we will leisurely paddle from the placid waters of the lake into the quiet canopy of the Powow River and back.
Kendama is a hand-eye coordination tool & the world’s greatest boredom cure. The game offers endless tricks to learn and a welcoming community of new friends to meet. The New England Kendama Classic will have Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Speed Ladders, Open Division, Freestyle, and some mini games. This Event is part of Amesbury Days Celebration.
New dates added because of rain! Celebrate all things strawberries. This weekend event will feature free live music, outdoor hard cider bar, family-friendly activities, hayrides, food truck, homemade strawberries treats and PYO strawberries. Dates may be shift per weather & berry readiness!
The Amesbury Public Library invites kids to make seed bombs! Come by after school and create a seed ball! Stop by and get a little messy with this fun project that helps spread native seeds around. All ages and everyone is welcome to make one. This program is outside and weather dependent!
We invite children with their grown-ups to join our friends from the Amesbury Public Library each month for stories inspired by farming and the season's harvest! This program will be held on the main lawn near the chickens. In the event of rain, story time will be under the picnic tent.
APL hosts Imajine That's 'Magnetic Personality'! Explore the power of magnets with a variety of activities that test their strength! Imajine That from Lawrence, MA brings the fun to us with a wonderful science program. Ages 3 to 6 are welcome! Registration is required.
