Celebrate your grandparent-ness by taking your grandkids to the Museum. We will feature special story times, musical performances, as well as art activities. This will also be your first chance to join our new Grandparents Circle – a membership group that is designed to give grandparents special opportunities to spend time with their grandchildren at a place that inspires while it teaches – Boston Children’s Museum.
Spotting fireflies is a special part of warm summer nights, but lately, they seem to be disappearing from our landscape. The Museum of Science Boston is once again teaming up with researchers from Tufts University and Fitchburg State College to track these amazing insects, with vital help from volunteers like you. The Highland Street Foundation’s Free Fun Fridays program will offer free admission to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), on Friday, August 3, 2012. Visitors can explore the MFA’s exhibitions and galleries, watch short films, tour Museum collections, and participate in family activities.

On Friday, June 22, 2012, visitors to the Museum of Science, Boston will experience a rock-and-roll journey through space and time, with the premiere of Ghosts of Jupiter: Music Experience. Celebrating the release of their self-titled album, Ghosts of Jupiter, the Boston-bred rock quintet has partnered with the Museum to create a new eye-popping music entertainment show in the Charles Hayden Planetarium that will take museumgoers on a fantastic ride into the outer reaches of the mind.
The New Exhibit: Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science Opening May 27
On Sunday, May 27, the Museum of Science, Boston will present Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science, a new, temporary exhibit that will provide visitors with an immersive quest for knowledge that reveals how archeologists use modern science and technology to uncover and understand the ancient civilization of Egypt. Through hands-on challenges, authentic artifacts, and guidance from real archeologists, visitors will unearth the mysteries of Egypt, its culture and its people.
Enter the world of geckos — bulging eyes, night vision, sticky toepads, squawking voices, and disposable body parts. Geckos can be found all over the planet in climates ranging form rainforests to mountainsides to desert.
