Come to MIT Museum and learn about food sciences!

Get a jump start on your weekend with the Second Friday Program at the MIT Museum! Second Friday Programs are oriented for open exploration with opportunities to attend performances, demonstrations, and lectures through out the museum galleries. November's 2013's Second Friday will focus on food science. Featuring Kenji López-Alt, Chief Creative Officer of Seriouseats.com and members of Clover Food Lab.

Alice in Wonderland Tea at the Wenham Tea House

The Wenham Tea House is joining forces with the Wenham Museum to host an Alice in Wonderland Tea in Recognition of the Museum’s 'Pop Goes the Book Exhibit. Give your child a memory that will last a lifetime at a tea with their favorite storybook character and a visit to the museum.

Cancer Prevention Cooking Demonstration

The first line of defense in preventing cancer is making the right food choices.

Together, Anna Jaques Hospital and Commonwealth Newburyport Cancer Center, present an engaging event to educate the community about cancer prevention. The FREE seminar and cooking demonstration will be led by local holistic health counselor Tanya Tzitzon. She will give a brief overview of basic foods, like fresh or frozen vegetables and fruits, whole grains, healthy good quality fats, legumes, quality proteins and herbs and spices that should be incorporated into your diet and why.

Food Allergies Workshop at CMNH

Learn about food allergies and less allergenic alternatives at CMNH

Learn about food allergies and the foods that cause them at this Children's Museum of New Hampshire and Hannaford Supermarket sponsored workshop. You'll learn about alternative foods for allergy sufferers and get some great recipes too!
