Join Theater in the Open for a special encore presentation of Poe in The Ellen T. Brown Memorial Chapel at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Newburyport. Using music, macabre pageantry and shadow puppetry, Theater in the Open’s ensemble will explore the emotional tension and otherworldly atmosphere that underscore Poe’s works.

See tractors and other farm equipment spanning the last eighty years. Try your hand at corn husking and win prizes at the pie-eating contest.

One Saturday of every warm-weather month, we will be joined by many of our good friends in the community to present storytelling, song, dance, fairytale-theater and a fun group activity, all right here in the park and all entirely free! Edward Speck and Joshua Shack know that we need a spring panto to celebrate the change in seasons at Maudslay State Park. This year, they’ll collaborate to create another completely original panto based on a beloved story, Peter Pan. Pirates, fairies and Lost Boys will abound in this whimsically goofy take on the J. M. Barrie classic.

Anton is a Magician, Artist, and Creator of Unforgettable Experiences. In 2017, Anton was named The Official Magician of Salem Massachusetts, a title created specifically for him by The Massachusetts House of Representatives, Massachusetts State Senate, and Salem City Council.
The Salem Jazz & Soul Festival is a free event the whole family will enjoy. Safiya Leslie is an artist and producer who transcends the norm. Flavoring her sounds with musical dialects hailing from jazz and her Afro-Caribbean roots. Safiya and her powerful band combine jazz chops, urban attitude, and Caribbean beauty.
Come listen to some great music by two bands made up of Salem residents and others from Grade 7 through adult, under the direction of Cynthia Napierkowski, director of the Salem High School Band. Event takes place at the Salem Willows Shell, with the Salem High School Auditorium serving as a rain location.
The Yankee Homecoming Waterfront Concert Series presents Singer/Songwriter Timmy Brown, who hails from Norton Mass and has been singing and performing since the age of 5. In October 2018, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his dreams full time. In 2017, Brown was voted New England Country Music’s Local Male Artist of the Year for the second consecutive year. His infectious energy and talent have made him a local favorite, around the New England and Rhode Island area. In the fall of 2017, he auditioned for “American Idol,” for Season 1 of the re-boot on their new network ABC, where he finished in the top 60!
