Since 1960, the Yankee Homecoming Road Race has been inviting runners and athletes of all ages to run through the heart of Newburyport. Imagine a beautiful summer evening in the beautiful town of Newburyport, MA. Each year, hundreds of runners in both the 10M and 5K enjoy a breathtaking course through the bucolic seaside town, running along the ocean for several miles before winding through a state park and charming New England neighborhoods. The Yankee Homecoming 10M and 5K are truly picture perfect.

The Annual Yankee Homecoming parade is a Traditional New England Parade that is sure to please! There will be a variety of entertaining floats and marchers. Yankee Homecoming and the people of Newburyport all come together to watch a parade on the first Sunday in August. The streets lined with families, friends, and visitors have made this parade a long time favorite summer tradition.
Display performed and partially sponsored by Atlas. Co-sponsored by various local merchants, banks and the citizens of Newburyport. Bring your blanket or chair, sit and relax, listen to the concert and get ready for the oohs and aahhhs. A spectacular fireworks display is being planned for your enjoyment. Come early and enjoy the evening!
The Newbuyrport Yankee Homecoming Bed Race is an annual event in Newburyport hosted by the Lions Club of Newburyport. The race is a ¼ mile team sprint down Federal Street to the finish line. Each team consists of 3 pushers, 2 pullers and a 'sleeper', and the goal is to get to the finish line with the bed and sleeper in the fastest time! This is a fun event for the communityr and always draws a big crowd. Come cheer on your favorite team, or just watch the fun! Funds raised will go to Lions Club charities.
The Coast Guard Station in Newburyport stands as a testament to over 100 years of service to the opening of the Merrimack River and the coastal regions from the North Shore to Portsmouth, NH. All are invited for a special tour of the facility and get a close-up look at the inner workings of this very busy station.
Newburyport Yankee Homecoming Kid's Day in the Park activities include decorated bicycle and doll carriage parades, face painting, playlet by Theater in the Open, K9 Demonstration, Storybook Readings, City Fire, Police and DPW and Ambulance vehicles. Free admission
