For three days, this annual family friendly art festival transforms downtown Salem into an opportunity for the arts community to showcase their talents. Now in its fifth year, the festival celebrates all the arts: painting, photography, sculpture, dance, music, writing, film, new media, performance, theater, poetry, culinary, etc. in a free city-wide arts festival. Peabody Essex Museum invites families to join them in a celebration of Poetry and all things poetic! Words and artworks intermingle as PEM welcomes the fifth annual Massachusetts Poetry Festival. The event brings together poets and poetry lovers of all ages for a rich array of offerings including readings, interactive art, music and performances.
