Berwick in Action events are held monthly from 8-11 a.m. for students and families entering grades Pre-K through 12.

Come see live birds of prey up close in this presentation that will introduce you to the different types of raptors including eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls. We'll discuss the special features these birds have that enable them to be successful predators at the top of the food chain. Note: this programs fills up quickly so register soon!
Join the specialists of Wingmasters for a live birds of prey demonstration at Sawyer Free library during the Middle Street Walk 2023! Birds of prey are also known as raptors, and they are hunting birds characterized by hooked beaks and powerful grabbing feet armed with sharp talons (the word raptor comes from a Latin word that means "to seize"). Raptors can also boast the best eyesight and the sharpest hearing in the animal kingdom. Raptors include hawks, falcons and owls. This program is for ages 6 & up. This live presentation introduces 5 live birds of prey, all native to New England! All audience members must be seated in chairs, maximum capacity is 70 people. For more info, contact Christy Rosso.

The Symphony of Trees is our premier fundraising effort, which includes live entertainment, dinner, tree auction, and red carpet arrival. Monies raised from this event will support our mission in procuring musical instruments, refurbishing well-loved donated instruments, supporting instrument playgrounds, and making the library’s collection accessible to a wider audience.

This year, the Cape Ann Businesswomen's Luncheon is proud to host Keynote speaker Lindsay Crouse. Lindsay is an award-winning veteran of stage and screen. Her credentials spans a whole range of venues from broadway, to TV to Hollywood. Some of Lindsay’s best known films include All The President’s Men, Slapshot, House of Games, The Verdict, The Insider, Mr. Brooks, Indian in the Cupboard, Prince of the City, Daniel, and Places in the Heart, for which she received an Academy Award nomination.
Join Jim Parks with 5-6 of his amazing birds, including hawks, falcons, and owls. Parks has been licensed to rehabilitate injured raptors (birds of prey) for decades and brings excellent knowledge and respect of their role in the wild. Ages 6 through adult. Registration required.
