The Trustees of Reservations invite you to bring the whole family to Ravenswood Park for an introduction to Vernal Pools featuring live animals and a presentation by the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team. Meet salamanders and frogs that live on the North Shore and get a rare close-up view of these animals. Learn their natural history and behaviors then journey with a guide into the park for a night-time walk.
The Garden City Church invites you to a morning of fun, games, and ten thousand candy-filled eggs! Arrive early to register and be ready to go at 11:00 am. With over two hundred kids, the eggs will go fast! Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. DON'T BE LATE!
The Newbury Town Library invites teens to their Friday Flicks Series! We're showing movies in the Community Room after school on the 3rd Friday of each month at 2:45pm, just for teens. Popcorn and water will be served. Movies will be rated PG or PG-13. Have you ever wondered why we name full moons and how stars became constellations? Join us for fun nocturnal activities, storytelling in the backyard of Joppa Flats Education Center, and a starry walkabout to a nearby open field. We’ll start off indoors with pizza to fuel us up for a family-friendly walk under the Crow Moon!
The Middle School Night Program, sponsored by The Community House, purpose is to provide an outlet for middle school aged youth to enjoy safe and supervised social activities. Each event has a theme along with interactive dances and games featuring a local DJ. Concessions are available at every event.
In this course, kids ages 11 and up will learn the basics of first aid and learn what to do if they are presented with a person who is injured, in shock, bleeding or burned. This course goes beyond just calling 911, and the information your child learns could make a critical difference if they are presented with an emergency in their daily lives! Knowledge of first aid basics is an important life skill that builds confidence as they face new and different situations as they grow. Course fee includes certification (valid for 2 years).
Sparky's puppets is entertaining for preschool on up! In this adventure, a scientist builds a time machine and sets the dial for the past... and then the future! What will he discover? All told with handmade puppets and involving three tales this will be a hit with the whole familiy! Made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

Danvers Rec invites kids to a full day of LEGO fun! In the morning there will be a LEGO engineering workshop, followed by a MineCraft LEGO workshop in the afternoon. These worskshops are geared toward kids in grades 1-6. Sign up for one or both!
