The North Shore of Massachusetts is filled with talented artists and here in Gloucester we are fortunate that many make their services available to families. Cape Ann Art Haven has a rich and wonderful program to connect these artists to provide opportunities to add some art to our kids lives.
Last spring, the DCR launched the Healthy Heart Trails initiative to promote better health. This initiative challenges Massachusetts residents to walk 75 miles before Labor Day - about a mile a day. The hope was that Massachusetts residents would make walking these trails part of their regular exercise routine.
When it's not raining, I've enjoyed time these past few weeks at a few of my favorite family-friendly parks. We're so lucky to have a summer's worth of options to play and picnic here on the north shore.
