Join watercolorist Brenda Sloane in a monthly program that combines nature and art. We will start with a walk on the sanctuary to observe the topic of the month. We will then return to the Nature Center to create a follow-up work of art.

Our theme is Animal Partners and it takes place indoors at Joppa Flats Education Center. This 90 minute program is all about which animals team up with other animals in nature. The Children's Museum of New Hampshire and the NHSPCA team up to help kids learn about animal care! Kids and animals go together like peanut butter and jelly. From a young age, children are fascinated by animals and love to lavish affection on their pets. Sometimes, they can be a little overzealous, though, and that’s where humane education comes in, helping kids understand the best ways to interact with their pets.
In this class kids will make a reindeer out of sticks and twigs and learn about real reindeer. They'll also explore seed travel and talk about how plants get ready for the winter. Any season is a great time to notice nature's beauty and to make it come to life with amazing works of art!
