Children's Tour of the Trustees of Reservations Stevens-Coolidge House in North Andover

May is Historic Preservation month and we are celebrating by offering Preservation focused programs throughout the month. May 4th and 14th, join the The Trustees of Reservations with your family for a NEW tour offering of the Stevens-Coolidge House. This hands-on family friendly tour will bring the past to life for you and your child. Stories, photos, and objects allow kids to consider differences and similarities between the past and today. Please note that space is limited and pre-registration is required!

Story Hour in the Garden

Story Hour in the garden at the Trustees of Reservations Stevens-Coolidge House in North Andover

Join us among the flowers to hear a story, make a craft, and explore the gardens with your pre-schoolers and early elementary students. Each week, a new theme will tie together stories with accompanying activities that will enliven imaginations and deepen connections to the natural world.

Stevens-Coolidge Place Open House

Come enjoy the fantastic flower display in the gardens at the Trustees of Reservations Stevens-Coolidge Place during their open house!.

Step back into the 1920s during this season’s monthly Open Houses at The Stevens-Coolidge Place. Curious to see the full house? Join the Trustees for full house tours being offered every half hour from 10am to 2pm on a first come, first serve basis.  The last house tour will begin around 1:30. The tours will bring you through the whole house and will lead you in the story of Helen and John Coolidge.

Summer Solstice Yoga Hike at Ward

Join HER Wellness & The Trustees to celebrate the summer solstice at Ward Reservation! Participants will enjoy hiking up to the solstice stones to practice an all-levels yoga flow under the sunset and glowing moon. There, we will embrace the sun reaching its highest peak and welcome the fruitful summer upon us, both inside and out! Handcrafted herbal tea and bath salts created for the astrological moment will be provided, along with self-care tips for the summer season.

Mothers Day Brunch Picnic and Lilac Festival

Come enjoy the fantastic lilace display in the gardens and a Mother's Day Brunch at the Trustees of Reservations Stevens-Coolidge Place.

Get outside with your family this Mother’s Day and celebrate Mom with a picnic at The Stevens-Coolidge Place surrounded by the peak of lilac season. Enjoy live music by Julianne and Barry Johnston of the Brookline Music School. Explore the garden with your little ones. Play croquet, bocce, ring toss, and other lawn games that will be set up throughout the garden. Take a family photo among the beautiful gardens.

Come enjoy a Pastels and Peonies Floral Workshop at the Trustees of Reservations Stevens-Coolidge Place in North Andover.

Fresh from the garden, learn the skills to assemble a petite but dramatic posy arrangement that allow its ingredients to shine, featuring the ultimate queen of spring – the peony. Learn how to create a beautiful posy arrangement that combines both traditional and whimsical ingredients for a beautiful and unexpected combination.

Friday Hayride Adventures at Smolak Farms

Hayrides at Smolak Farms in North Andover Massachusetts

Come to Smolak Farms for a Hayride around the Farm. With many schools closed for the holiday weekend, we are offering this special opportunity to take you on a tour around the Farm. It will be a unique opportunity to be outdoors and to enjoy a fun day together. We will be running hayrides on Friday from 10am to 2pm. Tickets can be purchased on site. Children under 2 are free. We can’t wait to see you there.

The North Andover Festival Committee is inviting you to the 47th annual Sheep Shearing Festival being held on the North Andover Common. The event is held from 10am to 4pm, and includes Sheep shearing and herding demonstrations, crafters, food vendors, pony rides, and much more!
