Patton Homestead Military Service Day

Come experience miltary history and family fun at the Patton Homestead in Hamilton Massachusetts

This year’s timing will be historically significant. Our country will be celebrating the 250th  Anniversary of the American Revolution 1775-2025 as well as the birthday of the United States Army. This will be the last year of our country’s National Commemoration of the Vietnam War as we dedicate a heartfelt “Welcome home and thank you.”

In addition, Military Service Day’s 10th anniversary symbolizes the unwavering support of our donors and volunteers that has been instrumental in creating an event known regionally, nationally, and internationally.

The event is a day-long, family-friendly exhibition of vintage military vehicles, equipment, military reenactors, speakers – both veterans and academics – and other veteran-related attractions, held on the grounds of the past home of one of America’s most famous and celebrated military families. Admission is FREE to the public, rain or shine.

In addition, Military Service Day hopes to bring public awareness to the Town of Hamilton Patton Homestead’s future sustainability of this historic place, which was gifted to Hamilton from Joanne Holbrook Patton in 2012.

Join us at the Patton Homestead in Hamilton MA, the past family home for over 90 years of General George S. Patton, WWII, his son General George Smith Patton IV, Korea, Vietnam, Black Horse Air Cavalry, and his wife Joanne Holbrook Patton, a pioneer Army Social Services innovator during the Vietnam War. She encouraged communities everywhere for decades to embrace military families.
