Miss Lisa invites you to join her for some family-friendly seasonal nature walks in the area. Together we will explore the salt marsh, the woods, and more. We will look for birds, mammals, and of course, mushrooms! We'll use our "science eyes" and "nature ears" and learn, play, and discover together.
The salt marsh is where the river meets the sea, and animals are active all year long. After a close look at the Joppa Flats salt marsh peat and plants, we'll finish this program indoors where we'll meet some live creatures and find out why green crabs, minnows, and horseshoe crabs call the estuary their home.
- Suitable for ages 4-8
- Registration Required
- Note: This is an indoor/outdoor program and you should bring BOOTS for a walk in the salt marsh behind our Education Center. Slightly damp and muddy.
