Sunday July 31st –Riverside Yoga 8:00 – 9:00 am An all levels vinyasa yoga class with Riverside Yoga’s owner, Rebecca Sisson. In this class we will focus on dynamic movement to build strength and flexibility, and work on linking breath with movement to quiet the mind. Appropriate for all levels of yogis from beginner to advanced. Bring your yoga mat!

Monday August 1st- Guy Chase Academy of Newburyport from 8:00 – 9:00 am Muay Thai is known as the art of eight limbs, and as such it makes use of the hands, feet, knees and elbows for powerful striking. Sometimes called Thai kickboxing, the sport is particularly well known for building total body strength, improving flexibility as well as exponentially increasing endurance levels. Come join the Guy Chase Academy or a challenging and fun martial arts workout. Bring a friend, partner training will be encouraged.

Monday August 1st – Fuel boot camp from 9:15 – 10:15 am Do you want to take a boot camp class that will give you a strong, sleek, toned body and not make your thighs huge or your arms bulge? Based on the Best of Newburyport winner for personal training, the fuel method of training promotes fat burning and body slimming for an ultimate workout. Your favorite exercises are paired with fun intervals of cardio, strength and core work. Interval training and other state of the art training methods are used to boost your metabolism throughout the day, supercharge your fitness, and burn off the extra fat. This class will help you reach your fitness goals. Fuel trainers demonstrate modifications and progressions for each exercise which offers a much more personalized and effective workout. We will challenge each level of fitness safely and effectively from rookie to veteran exerciser. All levels of fitness welcome!

Tuesday  – August 2nd – Motivate Barre & Cardio 8:00 – 9:00 am Motivate Cardio Barre is a dynamic, full body, cardio intense workout that strengthens and stretches all the major muscle groups in the body. Motivate CardioBarre is set to fun and upbeat music and combines sculpting mat work, core conditioning, yoga, Pilates, orthopedic exercises with the intensity of HIIT. Proper alignment and form is the primary focus. Incorporated into each session are active stretches to develop more toned. sculpted, lengthened, and supple muscles. The entire body and mind are constantly working throughout each session. Every position is cued to properly achieve and maintain core engagement. Through this process, your body, posture, and physical awareness will be transformed. No area of the body is left undiscovered in a barre class. We will tap muscles you didn’t even know you had. Bring a towel…or two!

Winter Family Field Trip: Terrific Animal Tracking

Families will learn about identifying animal tracks at Joppa Flats Education Center in Newburyport Massachusetts!
Mammals such as squirrels, rabbits and deer leave many signs that they are active in winter. Learn how to interpret the tracks and signs or clues of active animals in winter. Stay active and warm with a group challenge about hibernation. Conduct an experiment about snow insulation.
