Have you considered Berwick Academy for your rising 4th grader? Learn more about our dynamic fourth grade program during an informal parent event on Friday, May 20 at 8 a.m. Experience our PK-4 Community Meeting followed by a parent coffee with our Lower School Director, fourth grade teachers, and current parents. This is a great opportunity to learn more in a casual setting and hear from our current parents about why they chose Berwick. Following the coffee parents are invited to sit in on a fourth grade class for a more in depth look at our program.

Interested parents, guardians and their children are invited to visit Eastern Point Day School on Wednesday, June 1st from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. to meet the dedicated faculty and students that make Eastern Point Day School a unique and enriching community for children and families to thrive.
STEM at work at Glen Urquhart School in Beverly
At Glen Urquhart School in Beverly, MA sixth grader students design and engineer robotic Mars Rovers out of Lego systems. Students research NASA and they use Mars Curiosity Rover - Jet Propulsion Laboratory to select such tasks as: find evidence of water, drill for samples, move Mars rocks, and communicate with NASA.
The students are asked to design the next rover, choose its specific tasks, and write the programming code they will use to test their mission. They are encouraged to modify, through trial and error, their robots and programming code until they accomplish their goals.
Glen Urquhart Welcomes New Head of School
Glen Urquhart School is pleased to announce that the school’s board of trustees unanimously approved the appointment of David Liebmann as the next head of school, effective July 1, 2016. Liebmann will succeed Raymond C. Nance, the interim head, who previously served as head of school for 15 years. Liebmann will become the seventh head of the K-8 independent school, which will celebrate its 40th year of operation next year.
Sustainability and Stewardship of the Natural World
Fifth graders at Glen Urquhart School, in Beverly, spend their year exploring the theme “The Land.” They climb a mountain, visit a granite quarry, look for signs of the last ice age in the local landscape, devise and construct models of earthquake-resistant buildings, and learn about how humans use the resources of our earth. Their capstone experience is a 4-day stay at Chewonki’s Outdoor Classroom in Wiscasset, Maine.
GUS Hosts STEAM Museum
Glen Urquhart School’s gym was transformed into a state-of-the-art, hands-on children's museum focused on STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, art, and math). STEAM education is a nationwide initiative that creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy, and ignites the next generation of innovators. The program is designed to engage students’ right brains through activities that encourage divergent thinking.

Russian School of Mathematics Marblehead Open House
The Russian School of Mathematics - Marblehead welcomes the North Shore community to a September 11th for an Open House. Lena Liholipa, the Marblehead principal, will be available to introduce parents to the after-school math program, answer questions and provide free math evaluations for all students for placement in the award-winning RSM math program. Ms. Liholipa will walk parents through a typical classroom experience, explaining the unique European approach to teaching mathematics.
Harvard College Information Sessions & Tours
Visiting is a great way to get the feel of everyday life at Harvard College. Take the opportunity to meet our current students and explore the Cambridge/ Boston area. Admissions officers, often with undergraduates, present information and answer questions about admission to the college, financial aid, academics, extracurricular activities and residential life at Harvard. Tours are led by current undergraduates and provide a perspective on daily life on campus.
