Theater in the Open ’s notorious annual haunting of Maudslay is going on tour! Join our cast of the undead for a half-hour walk through eerie vignettes, spooky sketches and haunting scenes, all surrounded by the changing colors and autumn grandeur of Appleton Farm's in Ipswich Massachusetts. Bring the whole family for a variety of tricks and treats, this event is intended for all ages.
Kids and their families are invited to the Ipswich Museum for a Haunted House each weekend in October! Enter if you dare! Our Haunted House is open Saturdays in October from 7-9pm. Entry is free but donations are gladly accepted.
Wingmasters with Jim Parks present Eyes on Owls. Owls are not evil spirits, wise little philosophers or Walt Disney creations. Nor do they wing about carrying messages, despite the way they're depicted in the Harry Potter books. In fact, owls are probably more misunderstood than any other kind of bird. These are hunting birds, yet their sharp beaks and talons are partly hidden under feathers. Owl have more and softer feathers than other birds, and this unique plumage gives them a plump, rounded look.
Trick or Treat Ipswich! Ipswich Business Roundtable has organized and sponsors Downtown Trick or Treat! For the sake of safety we would highly recommend that everyone start at the footbridge leading from Ebsco lot to South Main. If we keep foot traffic going in one direction, it will make for less congestion on the sidewalks. From there, please continue into South Main and make a loop through downtown’s Market Street, Central Street to the Fire Station. Safety first. Thanks everyone. Want to learn how to make a festive pie in time for Halloween? Join our baker Kami and learn some tips and tricks to manipulate pie dough to make some creepy creations! Everyone will walk away from the class with pie dough and their own Halloween themed desserts to take home. No need to pick between Trick or Treat as once you have learned your new tricks, the class will end with a shared treat!
Families will find Halloween fun at Marini Farm in Ipswich! Costumes, Characters, Dancing, Games, Treating, Maze, Hayride, and much more. We welcome everyone to join in on the fun and dress up. Tickets available online or at the gate.
Put on your costume and come down to the farm for a family barnyard trick-or-treat celebration! We will start with a Halloween story circle followed by a special Halloween craft session. We will then trick-or-treat through the barnyard, children’s garden, and farm to visit our animal friends and gather the goodies they have waiting for us.
Canceled! The Trustees have partnered with the Vintage Sports Car Club of America for an exciting event featuring pre-WWII cars competing in timed races at Castle Hill on the Crane Estate. Come for the day and enjoy live music, food trucks, a bootlegger’s garden and picnicking on the lawn! Schedule a 30-minute guided Great House tour set in 1929. A Crane maid or footman will show you guest and family rooms. Advance tour reservations and additional fee are required.
Join the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club for an evening of stargazing at Maudslay State Park. The night sky is spectacular when you can view it from the middle of a state park, where our street lights don’t spoil the view! Maudslay State Park teams up with the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club to highlight the spectacular night sky.
FREE FAMILY EVENT! Join in on the fun and decorate your trunk, wear a costume, and hand out candy or prizes. Winner of the best trunk will receive a special prize. Safety and sanitation guidelines will be enforced for this outside event! Be sure you register all members of your family by selecting the amount attending in the drop down menu when registering!
