The 6th Annual Revere Beach Kite Festival is a great opportunity to get the family out to enjoy some fresh air. This is a FREE event that the whole family will enjoy. Children will have the opportunity to build, decorate and fly their own kites. The event also features professional kite-flyers, live music, and other family-friendly activities! This event brings in people of all ages to enjoy a beautiful Spring day on the beach and have some family fun! We are excited to be back on the beach for the season and we want you to join us!
Newburyport Youth Services and Kites Over New England invite you to join the fun for a day of winter wonder as kite flyers from around New England bring their large kites to fly over the field at Maudslay State Park. Bring your favorite kite as well! Come to one of two kite making lessons in the morning then fly the kites in the afternoon at Maudslay State Park.
All ages are invited to the Patton Homestead in Hamilton, MA for a Kite Flying Day! Bring your own, or make a kite here. All ages and flying abilities are welcome. Come see some of the awesome kites the Kites Over New England members will be flying. Food vendors will be on site or bring your own picnic. There will also be family videos played in the Patton Homestead Living Room from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Recommended age for this part of the event is 10 & up.
Come paint the sky with the gang from Kites Over New England (www.kone.org). They will be building the classic Eddy Kite, a diamond shaped kite with a six foot tail. Members of Kites Over New England will be demonstrating their single line and stunt kites. Beginner stunt kite pilots are encouraged to try their hands at this fun and challenging sport.
Come fly a kite at Cogswell's Grant! Bring your own kite or build one of your own, and watch professional kite flyers from Kites Over New England. Archie Stewart of Kite Education teaches a workshop with all materials included, where kids and adults can make their own kites and learn how to fly them.
Join us in making some kite artwork to get excited for Newburyport Winter Kite Festival! This program is open to kids of all ages and abilities. No registration required!
