Maritime Gloucester students will learn collograph print making with local artist Camilla MacFadyen. You will build collograph printing plates out of seaweed collected on site and print some 30 yards of blue and green silk charmeuse and organza with the patterns of the sea.

Get into the holiday season by creating your own evergreen wreath! Kids will craft their 16" wreaths by hand using local greenery, winter berries, fallen cones, holly leaves, ribbon, and more! Materials and instruction included. Parents are encouraged to attend but wreath making is for kids only please. Each teen will be given “building materials” and creations to make in a timed challenge. Creations will be scored by judges, with a first, second, and third place winner based on performance. Learn how to use a bow-drill, grind corn with a mortar and pestle, weave a fishing net, make a ground stone-tool fishing weight, make a ceramic pot in the traditional indigenous way, play the game of Hubhub, bring an artifact for the experts to ID, and even try your hand (arm) at throwing an atlatl!
