Daisy Nell, children's book author of Rocky at the Dockside and Stowaway Mouse, will read her stories and lead a sing-along with her husband and musical partner Captain Stan Collinson. This program is a free family event made possible by the Goldhirsh Foundation.
Learn about the Folly Cove Designers' process, then get to work in the Children's Activity Center. Explore the Folly Cove Designs, create prints using stamps, foam shapes and styrofoam. Also, examine a linoleum block and tools similar to those used by the original Designers. This drop-in program is free for members and Cape Ann residents or with Museum admission. Children and caregivers are invited to the Sawyer Free Library for a fun hour of stories, playtime, stories, songs, bubbles, movement, and a simple craft. Daisy Nell and Captain Stan visit the TOHP Burnham Public Library in Essex for an open house! Enjoy songs from Daisy's popular children's books Rocky at the Dockside, The Stowaway Mouse and Tilly and the Pirates. There will also be tours, snacks, door prizes and crafts!
All ages are welcome to join Miss Shannon for an evening of stories, songs, dances and more! Miss Shannon will be wearing her pajamas. You can wear yours, too! This is a drop-in program. No registration required.
Maudslay State Park invites you for a close-up view of a live owl and her babies in the nest, through a
spotting scope. Plus visit the park interpreter’s table to learn more about this raptor and see
skulls, feathers and owl pellets. Bring binoculars for better viewing of the nest. All ages are
welcome! Follow the signs from the parking lot to the field site.
Enjoy a hayride as you journey thru the park and along the river, to appreciate the rosebay rhododendrons as they exhibit their beauty. All programs sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. Meet in the field across from the parking lot. For all ages. An adult must accompany children 12 & under.
