Marblehead Children's Center has a summer of fun planned for children ages 9 months to school age. This exceptional preschool offers flexible scheduling, highly engaged and qualified teachers and professional staff.
NAEYC accredited program/High Quality curriculum. Marblehead Children's Center has recently received reaccreditation from NAEYC. The National Association of Education for the Young Child is an agency which does a comprehensive study of Early Childhood programs across the nation. In order to be accredited by NAEYC the center must maintain certain criteria and meet the standards of this agency.
Marine ROV Session II
Maritime Gloucester wants kids in grades 6-8 to build their own submersible robot! Project Sea Perch is a course in ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) design and construction for middle school students. During the program students will have the opportunity to construct their own underwater robots, test them, and use them in scientific explorations of Gloucester Harbor. Students will keep their ROV’s at the close of the course.
Apple Street Farm
We cultivate 6 acres of vegetables on Apple Street in Essex and at a few satellite fields in town. We also raise meat chickens, dairy goats, laying hens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and pigs. Although we are not certified organic, we follow organic standards: no chemical fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, or GMO seed. We use organic feeds for our livestock when they're not on pasture. Our focus is on improving the soil and growing high-quality food.
Peabody Essex Museum Free to All
The Peabody Essex Museum is proud to participate in the fifth annual Free Fun Fridays program sponsored by the Highland Street Foundation. On Friday, July 5, 2013, PEM will open its doors with free general admission to visitors all day long. Please note that the special exhibition Fabergé Revealed and tickets to Yin Yu Tang: A Chinese House are not included.
Bow-Wow Wiggle-Waggle at Wenham Museum
Follow a red bouncing ball through a whimsical story of a boy and his dog who discover their love for each other during a game of fetch. Children of all ages will enjoy this small display of original watercolor illustrations created by children’s author and illustrator Mary Newall DePalma for her latest book, Bow-Wow Wiggle-Waggle.

Wolf Hollow
Wolf Hollow is an all-ages, educational experience, located in Ipswich, MA.
Wolf Hollow offers a unique opportunity to view gray wolves in as natural a setting as possible. Come see how they interact with their pack members and live in a social unit very similar to human families.
It is a truly unique nature presentation, offered every Sunday at 1:30 p.m., during the winter, and both Saturday and Sunday during the rest of the year.
